The 2024 falling steel match will feature 6 stages totaling 200 targets. We are aiming at 500+ scores over 6 gun divisions. There are 2 relays per day and you can shoot up to 2 gun divisions per relay. In a day and a half or longer you can shoot 1200 falling steel targets.

No re-entries in the same gun division. You can shoot a gun in a division that does not give you an unfair advantage, if you want. For example, you can use an iron sighted revolver in all 6 gun divisions. You can use an iron sighted Glock in 4 different divisions but not in either of the revolver divisions. You don't need a lot of guns, but you will need a lot of ammo.

There will be thousands of dollars paid out in prize money utilizing a Lewis Class system. If you aren't familiar with this payback system, here's a simplified example:

An open revolver division with 36 competitors would break down into 3 classes of 12 shooters, arranged in order of the fastest to the slowest.

The top 3 times will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd in A Class.

1st place A Class wins 44% of 44% of the division's prize money.

2nd place A Class wins 33% of 44% of the division's prize money.

3rd place A Class wins 23% of 44% of the division's prize money.

B Class are shooters finishing 13, 14 and 15th. B Class splits 33% of the prize money: 44%, 33% and 23%.

C Class are shooters finishing 25, 26 and 27th. C Class splits 23% of the prize money: 44%, 33% and 23%.

You could come in 27th place out of 36 shooters and STILL WIN MONEY!!! This event is meant to be fun and fair to shooters of all skill levels. You are not just making a donation towards the prize money of some of the fastest shooters in the world. You all have an opportunity to hit the Lewis Class winnings.
